Our Story Today

The Charles M. Fulenwider Children’s Museum, Inc. is currently in the planning and development phase in Burke County, North Carolina.

The future home of the museum is 214 W Union St in Downtown Morganton, NC.

Our organization is building the foundation for a children’s museum designed to serve local families and the surrounding Western North Carolina community. As this work progresses, we are developing community partnerships, organizational infrastructure, and the resources needed to bring the museum’s mission to life.

What We Are Working Toward

Our goal is to create a welcoming, hands-on environment where children can explore, imagine, experiment, and discover. The museum is being developed as a community resource centered on curiosity, creativity, and active learning.
